I recently tried the NLA for Her supplement stack from NLA Performance. Here’s some information on the four products:

Uplift: Pre-workout

It’s hard to find a pre-workout that doesn’t leave me feeling jittery. However, I’d read that NLA formulated their pre-workouts for women like me who tend to be sensitive to these types of products, so I was definitely interested to see how this worked.

I’ll work out either in the morning or the night. The problem with my morning workouts is I’m so tired and would rather just sleep in (I’m sure many people can relate)! However, I was pleasantly surprised that not only was I not jittery after taking Uplift, but it also really energized me! My workout was better than ever and I had the energy to push through the whole hour.

This product is scientifically formulated to increase energy, improve endurance, and increase fast-twitch muscle fibers during workouts. It’s easy to use— one to three scoops easily mixes in 4 to 8 ounces of water, and you take that about 30 minutes before your workout. Surprisingly, even three scoops did not leave me feeling jittery, nor did I crash later on. Also, Uplift comes in two refreshing flavors— raspberry lemonade and cherry limeade (the cherry limeade flavor is delicious!).

Her Whey

This lean gluten-free post-workout protein is perfect for maximizing recovery and promoting lean muscle growth. One of my goals is tone up my arms. Not only is this a great post-workout protein but it also tastes amazing (I tried the chocolate éclair flavor)! This is definitely going to help curb my sweet tooth.

I also like the added vitamins and minerals, and the fact that it’s gluten free (I don’t have a gluten allergy or intolerance but reports show that a gluten-free lifestyle is the healthier way to go). In addition, it’s low in carbohydrates, high in protein, and contains more than 9.4 grams of glutamine and more than 5 grams of branched-chain amino acids to aid in muscular recovery.

Her Aminos

Because I want to build more lean muscle, I’ve also been trying to incorporate more amino acids into my diet. This is where Her Aminos comes into play. Amino acids help fuel the muscles, increasing protein synthesis and enhancing recovery.

Lately I’ve been kicking my workouts up a notch so that I can meet my goals faster. Usually when I change up the intensity and frequency of my workouts, I experience a severe case of delayed onset muscle soreness. I’ve noticed that ever since I started using Her Aminos, my soreness between workouts is almost nonexistent! So I’m able to recover faster, meaning I can work out more, which I love.

Also, I love the fact that the flavor is pink lemonade! It was delicious and easy to fit into my day.

Shred Her

I’ve never been one to use fat burners, but I was trying to lose a few pounds fast. I have to say, I am definitely leaner and my clothes fit better after taking this product! This product had other great benefits as well, including increased energy without leaving me feeling jittery. You should take this immediately after waking up, and then take another pill three to six hours later to ignite your metabolism. It’s meant to keep your body in a fat-burning state for the duration of the day.

Here are few of the fat-burning ingredients in this product:

• Green tea extract: Studies have shown that green tea promotes thermogenesis— heat production— and fat metabolism.1
• Raspberry ketones: It’s been reported that raspberry ketones may affect metabolism by regulating adiponectin, which is a protein that’s used by the body to regulate metabolism.2
• Caffeine: has been shown to increase energy, thermogenesis and fat burning.3
• Ursolic Acid: has been shown to reduce fat storage and increase fat burning. It also reduces the conversion of blood sugar to fat, increases energy reserves in muscles, decreases abdominal fat, all while contributing to increased lean muscle mass.4
